European Foulbrood

Advanced infection of European foulbrood. Dead larvae lie behind perforated cappings. The dead viscous mass is not as sticky as American Foulbrood, and can be drawn out only slightly.

Photos on this page from: Honey Bee Brood Diseases by Henrik Hansen. There is no better book for field identification of bee diseases than this!
