This area of Kohala Net is dedicated to enhancing the appreciation of and use of herbal remedies, particularly Hawai'ian. It has been said that when Captain Cook happened upon the Hawai'ian Islands the medical practices of the native population were more advanced than those of Western medicine.
With HMO's attempting to "manage care" by second guessing Physician's treatment (limiting their/our treatment options) and the price of health insurance itself skyrocketing, perhaps it would be wise for us to look more deeply into remedies which surround us, sometimes right out in our yards or on the side of the road, and which have worked well for many people...
