This hoist is used to launch boats from Mahukona. The key is available by calling XXXXX and requesting one. A fresh water tap is utilized as a make shift shower, and provides water to wash boats leaving after their day of fishing.
Many people use this an entry point for swimming and diving. Watch out, the area near the ladder (recessed area foreground of hoist) is very slippery with moss.
